RENPER

Overview

SUMMER CAMP-RENPER 2023 is a mobility programme organised by Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Malaysia. This 3-day programme is held in conjunction with RENPER 2023, a conference established by ASEAN countries to eradicate poverty in the Southeast Asia region. Participants are introduced to 3 unique trails of activities consisting of heritage and cultural trail, nature trail, and food trail. The nature trail will take participants on an exciting journey by train, hopping throughout several rural districts in Kelantan village, and other group activities. For the heritage and cultural trail, participants will be introduced to some historical places, learn the Kelantanese dialect, Malay customs, traditional dance, and other educatively fun activities. Participants will also have a chance to explore exotic Kelantanese cuisine in a cooking class through our food trail. While participating in each activity, participants will be exposed to the life of people in rural areas, learning their way of coming out of poverty through natural resources and surroundings. Participants could also share their knowledge and ideas on how to help local entrepreneurs by exposing them to social entrepreneurship and management.

Programme Schedule

The programme will be held from August 12th to August 16th, 2023

Participants

Undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in experiencing new socio-cultural environments, adapting in multicultural and learning more about social entrepreneurship.

Maximum 30 students from all countries

Credits            All participants will be issued a Certificate of Attendance

Destination   Dabong, Jeli & Kota Bharu district, in the state of Kelantan, Malaysia

Fees

200 USD / participant
(Included registration fee, camp package fee, accommodations, meals, programme kit and transportation throughout the 3-days programme)
(*Fees does not include air ticket, visa fee, and insurance during the programme)

Insurance

Participants are COMPULSORY to purchase the travel insurance from the local insurance providers in Malaysia for the period of the program. Kindly email a copy of the insurance policies to mobility.renper@umk.edu.my latest by 7th of August 2023. The secretariat has the right to reject the applications without the insurance policy.

Accomodations

Accommodations provided are UMK hostels which are sharing room. All UMK hostels are subject to availability during the program's time period

Registration must be made NOT LATER THAN 31th JULY 2023 by completing this Google Form : https://forms.gle/s4sgsAgPttHY557u9 OR by scanning this QR Code as shown below. A deposit of USD20 is requested upon registration.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and refund policies:

• Cancellation made before 20th July 2023, will receive a full refund
• Cancellation made between 20th July-3rd August 2023, will incur a 60% fee
• Cancellation made later than 3rd August 2023 will incur a 100% fee
• Deposit money will not be returned for any cancellation made before full payment
